ORCS

TROLLS

They belonged to the bad creatures of Middle Earth. Orcs had apparently been breeded by Melkor in Utumno in the early ages of the First Century, after the awakening of the elves, but before the battle of powers. Melkor used elves for that by corrpting them in his dungeons. During Melkors captivity the numbers of the orcs grew. By the end of that age a few showed up in Beleriand for the first time, and later masses of them during the first battle of wars of Beleriand. After that they had been biggest party in Melkors servants and soldiers. After the fall of Melkor tribes of the orcs survived in the Misty Mountains and somewhere else, and in the Third Century they were mainly slaves and odd-job man for Sauron, although Saruman used them sometimes too.

Around the year 1300 in the Third Century the orcs started to multiply in the Misty Mountains, and around the Ringwar they were to be found there and in Mordor, Minas Morgul, in the Darkforest and in other areas of Saurons power. They occupied Khazaddûm, after the dwarves had given it up, and destroyed 2994 Balins Colony.

Orcs had been build similar to the elves out of envy and scorn. The same as the elves the orcs were strong in battle and died of an unnatural death. Mostly they were small, stocky and bow-legged, with long arms, dark skin, slit eyes and long teeth. The sunlight is making them weak and they prefer darkness. They were specialists in digging passages, forging weapons and other practial things. They wore dirty clothes and heavy shoes. They hated everything beautiful and loved to kill and destroy. They used many weapons like bow, spear, stab swords and long knives, but their main weapon was some type  of  bent saber. They loved blood and raw meat and even ate humans, ponies and even their own species.

Die Uruk-hai had been a different type of orcs. They looked very different from the other normal orcs. They were much bigger and stronger and they could bear the sunlight much better. They commanded the normal orcs.

Another evil creature of Middle Earth. Trolls had been initially breeded by Morgoth in the First Age, they had been build similar to the ents. During the Nirnaeth Arnoediad Gothmog had trolls as bodyguards. In the later centuries Sauron also used them in battles, but because of their feeble-mindedness their role in war was not very important.

Trolls were very big (maybe similar to ents), strong, ugly and stupid. They had a very thick skin and black blood, and most trolls (except the Olog-hai) changed into stone, if sunlight hit them. They gathered treasures, killed out of fun and ate raw meat.

There seemed to be four types of trolls: 1. Stonetrolls of the trollcaves and other parts of Eriador; 2. Cavetrolls from Moria; 3. Mountaintrolls from Gorgoroth and Eriador; and 4. the Olog-hai.

The Olog-hai had been breeded by Sauron near the end of the Third Age, lived in the south of Darkforest and in the mountains of Mordor. They were more agile and smarter than the other trolls; they could bear the sunlight, as long as Sauron was leading them.
